CONDENSATE DRAIN PLUG

Located in the lowest position of the fuel tank, this plug is designed to give a controlled drain-off of the condensate that has collected at the bottom of the diesel fuel tank. It also can be used for sampling the contents of the tank.

Description:

A ½" NPT hex brass plug with a 1/8" NPT steel, recessed Allen socket plug and steel ball check operated by fuel flow and gravity. The plug is to be mounted vertically in lowest part of the fuel tank.

Operation:

• Have a container ready to catch the sample.
• With 3/16" Allen key, remove the 1/8" NPT plug from the centre of the ½"NPT brass plug.
• Very little, or no fuel will flow until a small Allen key or similar rod is poked into the plug hole to lift the ball-check valve from its seat.
• Collect the sample.
• Remove the rod to stop the flow. Replace the 1/8"NPT plug.
• Dispose of the sample properly, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
